Built using advanced monocoque construction, the Scale Gravel RC uses only one mold for the main section of the bike, the front triangle. Applying SCOTT's carbon expertise, the frameset consists of only three separate pieces molded together, directly translating into increased efficiency through reduced junction points. This construction decreases weight while maintaining the superior stiffness that defines SCOTT's race-proven platforms, with the full frame constructed as a system that handles forces as a unified whole.
The HMF carbon frame features innovative engineering details including a service door accessible through the downtube cover, allowing easy interior frame access for cable routing maintenance without removing the bottom bracket. The advanced hollow dropout construction enables the axle head to clamp against the inner dropout surface while sitting flush with the exterior, achieving the lightest possible construction approach with clean aesthetics, saving 7.5g at the dropout while enabling a narrower rear triangle construction that reduces an additional 20g in the HMX-SL frame area.
